

Casimir Borkowski, 88, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away Monday, March 1, 2004 at Cedar Valley Health Care Center in Raytown, Missouri. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 Noon Friday, March 5, 2004 at Redemptorist Catholic Church followed by burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood, Kansas City, Misouri where the rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
Mr. Borkowski, was born April 10, 1915 in Poland. He immigrated to the United States in 1951 and had lived in the Kansas City area since that time. Mr. Borkowski was a life member of Local Union 1594. He was a lay minister in the church for many years. His life was his faith, his family and his work in that order. Mr. Borkowski was preceded in death by his wife Kristina in July 2002, just short of her 81st birthday. He leaves to mourn his death three daughters, Tilly McLerran and her husband Jay of Kansas City, Missouri, Terry Silva and her husband Frank of Blue Springs, Missouri and Phyllis Rachilla of Leawood, Kansas as well as 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
