Catherine C. Barosh, age 90, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away June 20, 2018 at Kansas City Hospice House. Cathy was born in Washington, D.C. to Upton and Catherine Lohr. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Mark Lamm, her second husband, Steve Barosh, two sisters and one brother.
Cathy was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She truly was an unsung Angel—spreading sweet caring acts of kindness and she went through her daily life with thoughtfulness and grace. We will miss her so, so much, but know she is in a beautiful place and has no pain.
The following expressions of love from grandchildren and friends demonstrate what a great lady she was to our family and her many friends.
“Happy Birthday to my grammy in Heaven. Today you would have been 91. You were so close to making it, grammy—just 5 days short. We all love and miss you more and more every day. I’m so happy we did it big for the 90 last year. Thank you for all your love throughout the years teaching us to be kind and respectful, and for loving us unconditionally. You’re always with us in our hearts and I hope you are dancing the day away without any pain up in Heaven today. --Granddaughter
“Happy Birthday, Grandma! Miss you and think about you every day. Your impact on my life is evident in the life I try and lead every day.” “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal”. --Grandson
Grandma Cathy was a loving woman who taught me so much throughout my life: be polite, always respect your elders and so much more, all she ever wanted was to love and be loved by those around her and in that regard, she succeeded and then some. I’m going to miss her like crazy and I hope she knew how much she meant to me. --Great Grandson
Cathy, you were so encouraging with kind words. I appreciated your generosity sharing your home and family. I have many joyous memories of the times we shared. I always felt you loved me and I know I sure loved you. Thank you for being there for me. I am missing you today and always. --Friend
What will we do without you, Mom; our phone calls, all of your hugs and kisses, and just always making everything okay in our lives. You always put all of us first above you; you put everything into perspective with your consistent positive attitude, even when you were in pain. You loved life. Thank you, Mom for all you did for us. Please keep watching over us.
Rest in Peace, beautiful Mama. You are our “rock”. --Daughters
