Dean was born 14 March 1938 in Pittsburg, KS; son of Huston A Anderson and Emma R Anderson (Odell). He married Lois J Johnson on 12 OCT 1957. To this union was born three children Greg (wife Debbie), Jill Brown (husband Paul) and Chris Anderson. On 2 FEB 1995, he married Sonia G. Pittman. Sonia brought two children to the union Angie (husband Brian) and Marcos (wife Catalina). Dean is survived by his wife Sonia, three sisters (Barbara, Kay, and Andrea), 3 children, 2 step-children, 6 grandchildren, 4 stepgrandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 8 great step-grandchildren.
Dean worked in numerous states from Ohio to New Mexico. In 1967, he joined Cement Masons Local #518. He worked primarily for Clarkson Construction Company of KCMO; mostly at job sites in MO, KS, and OK. Dean retired from Clarkson in 2002. He served as Apprenticeship Coordinator for Local #518 in the early to late 1990’s. Also, Dean achieved 33rd degree rank within the Freemasonry organization.
On Saturday 14 Dec 2024, private family grave site services will be held at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Cemetery; 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, KCMO. After services and Celebration Of Life will be from 3:00-5:00pm at Elks Lodge 13600 Arrington Road, Grandview MO.
