Cecil A. Ravenscraft

Cecil A. Ravenscraft, 69, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on November 23, 2011. He was born on August 2, 1942 in Hannibal, Missouri. Cecil is survived by his sisters Cecilia (Tony) Hertel of Sedalia, Missouri; Elaine (Randy) Williams of Otterville, Missouri; nephews William W. Wood and Bruce Wood of Sedalia, Missouri and Jared Williams of Syracuse, Missouri; three great-nieces and one great-nephew; stepsister Ardyth (John) Turner; and dear friend Janet Becraft. Cecil will be missed by many loving family, friends and co-workers. Cecil was preceded in death by his father Cecil E. Ravenscraft; mother Dorothy P. Miller; step-mother Nellie Shows and step-brother Howard Nichols. Cecil was a life time member of the Elks Lodge #26 and a member of the Broadway United Methodist Church, Kansas City, Missouri. Cecil worked for Carter-Waters Construction for 30 years and in his spare time he donated to many organizations throughout the city. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 29, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with an Elk Service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia, Missouri.
