

Cecilia A. (Cid) Prevost, 63, of Kansas City, MO died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at KU Medical Center. A Celebration of Cid’s Life will be Monday, July 22, 2013 at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd, KCMO with visitation from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Cremation. Cid was born October 11, 1949 in Kansas City, MO to James A. and Kathleen R. (McLain) Prevost. She graduated from Cardinal Glennon High School in 1967. In her career in advertising, Cid worked for numerous agencies, lastly with The Catholic Key, for which she earned many awards. Cid was also an award winning cook, a talented needle pointer, an advocate for children’s education and Mother’s Refuge and was a lover and protector of cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Prevost in 1991, Kathleen Prevost in 1997 and son, Anthony Frederick in 1978. Survivors include her brothers, John J. Prevost and wife Debbie, James M. Prevost and wife Kay and Thomas L. Prevost and wife Helen; sisters, Rita Smith and husband John T. and Helen Prevost; first cousins, Margaret Steunenberg and husband Al, Suzanne Brown and husband John, Patsy Brown and husband Lee.
