

Celia P. (Puente) Marx, 80, of Kansas City, MO passed away September 8, 2013. There will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to North Care Hospice House, 2800 Clay Edwards Dr, North Kansas City, MO 64116.
Celia was born February 5, 1933 in Kansas City, MO to Joaquin and Carmen Puente. She started modeling at age 16 for Patricia Stevens Modeling. In 1951, she graduated from Manuel High School. She joined the United States Air Force after graduation, stationed at Randolph Air Force Base in Texas, where she was later voted Miss Randolph Air Force Base. She later worked as an executive secretary for Columbia Pictures. Celia loved to read and do crossword puzzles.
Celia is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Ruben Puente, Hilda Puente Ryan, Irene Puente, and Fernando Puente; and daughter-in-law, Beatrice Marx. Survivors include children, Donald Marx and Maria (Bob) Hutchinson; siblings, Consuelo Keller; Josephine Puente and Luis (Lois) Puente; grandchildren, Justin, Matthew, Jordan (Rachel), Devon, Brittany, and A. Robert; niece, Janet (George) Florez along with numerous other nieces and nephews; her beloved dog, Harry and former husband, David E. Marx.
