Charles graduated from Raytown High School Raytown, Missouri in 1961. Two years later, he married the love of his life, Norma Darlene McCannon. With this union they shared one son. They were married for 44 years.
Charles worked for Armco Steel and retired the first time in 1987. He decided to go back to work as a part-time security guard at Unity Village until his final retirement.
He is preceded in death by his wife, son, two grand-daughters, mother, father, and a sister.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Darlene Boxx (Ben); seven grandchildren, Jennifer Couch, Ashley Couch, Anna Couch, Stacie Couch, Devin Boxx (Missy), Danielle Schilling (Dallas), Loran Hatfield (Melony); nineteen great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A Graveside Remembrance will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 11 am at Floral Hills Memorial Garden lead by Tim Redding.
The family has requested no flowers.
