Charles Calhoun Jones

Charles Calhoun Jones, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April, 29, 2013. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013, 1:30 pm, at Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe, Leawood, Kansas, 66224, with a celebration of life immediately to follow.

Chuck was born January 12, 1940 in Bedford, Pennsylvania to Marjorie V. Calhoun and Charles S. Jones. Chuck was a graduate of Pennsylvania Military College, now Widener University. Chuck was a member of the armed services serving first as a Captain in the US Army and later as a Captain in the US Air force. Chuck was a financial advisor, a wealth manager, and a legacy planner. He held many professional designations from the American College, where he served on the Board of Directors and was one of six honorees in The American College Hall of Fame. Chuck served many organizations during his lifetime leaving a lasting impression on those who served with him. He will be remembered for passionately expressing his point of view and his unrelenting efforts to encourage those who served with him to always remember that our legacy is the stewardship we owe to others and to future generations.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Pat, his children Kathy (Ed) Limper, Suzanne (Montie) Jones-Milner, and Christopher (Dawn) Jones, his grandchildren Heather Limper, Jessica Stevens (David), Samantha, Blake, & Aubrey Milner, Sophia Jones, his brothers Gary R. Jones and Robert G. Jones, along with several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Widener University, One University Place, Chester, PA. 19013, or to The American College, 272 South Bryn Mawr Ave., Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, 19010, or Church of the Resurrection. Inurnment in Bedford, PA. to follow at a later date.
