His passing, while unexpected in his sleep, was peaceful. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, and will be greatly missed. Chuck attended the University of Missouri where he was a member and President of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. He became a Certified Public Accountant and founded the CPA firm of McBride, Lock & Associates in Kansas City, Missouri. Chuck's favorite past-times included cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs, shooting craps in Las Vegas, listening to the Blues, and spending time with his family.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Leona McBride, and his brother, William N. McBride. He is survived by his daughter Stephanie Barela, his grandsons Jacob and Christopher, his sister Jeanette Vaccaro, and his nieces Dayna Meyers, Kriste Everett, and Katie Clayton.
In accordance with Chuck's wishes, there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Chuck's favorite charity, The Flight 93 National Memorial, would be welcomed.
