Charles Byron Titus

July 8, 1938November 5, 2019

Charles Byron Titus was born July 8, 1938 in Kansas City, MO. to Emma Jean and Charles Kirschner Titus. His family moved several times during his early youth and teen years but he settled down in his early 20’s in the Michigan and Wisconsin area and raised three beautiful children. By the time Chuck was 40 he began missing the Kansas City area and eventually moved back to his hometown roots, landing in Gladstone, MO. Chuck was a lifelong machinist by trade and retired from AGCO in May, 2000, then worked for Walmart in Gladstone for approximately seven years. Chuck’s parents and brother, David, preceded him in death. Survivors include son Tim (Kim) in California, daughter Elizabeth in Washington State and daughter Jessica (Paul) in Wisconsin, nine very fine grandchildren and as many wonderful great grandchildren. He is also survived by his wife Pat, who was with him on November 5, 2019 when he passed from Parkinson disease in their Gladstone home. They were married April 1, 1983 and shortly after, she bestowed the nickname of Fossil Butt on him, which he wore proudly. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 3pm, with visitation starting at 2pm, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contribution in Chuck’s memory be made to Northland Animal Welfare Society, 6972 N. Broadway, Gladstone, MO 64118.
