Charlie dedicated most of his working life to the trucking industry, spending many years as both an over-the-road and local driver before enjoying a well-earned retirement. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and the friendships he made along the way.
For nearly 30 years, Charlie shared a loving marriage with his devoted wife, Kerri. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and a special passion for giving animals a second chance. Their home was shared with many beloved dogs and several cats they lovingly adopted through KC Pet Project. Spending time with Kerri and caring for their furry family brought Charlie his greatest happiness.
Charlie was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kerri, who will forever cherish the memories they created together.
Charlie's kindness, quiet strength, and love for both his family and animals will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to KC Pet Project in Charlie's honor, helping continue the work of finding loving homes for animals in need.
A celebration of life will take place at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City MO 64133, on Saturday, July 18th 2026 at 2:00pm.
