Cheryl McKnight Jones, 68 of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on September 4, 2026. Cheryl was born on April 18, 1958 in Wareham, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Warren A. McKnight and Shirley Mongeon McKnight. Cheryl retired on August 13, 2013 after 35 years of loyal service to Hallmark Cards, Inc.
Remaining to cherish Cheryl’s memories are her beloved husband of 50 years, Mark Jones; her mother, Shirley McKnight; her sisters, Peggy McKnight Howard and Susie McKnight Adams; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Preceding Cheryl in death was her father, Warren A. McKnight; and her brother, Kenny McKnight.
A visitation will be held on September 15, 2026 at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Rd, Kansas City, Missouri 64119, at 12:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of life reception at 1:00 p.m. Private Interment will take place in East Slope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association. In honor of Cheryl’s vibrant spirit and love for tie-dye, we invite everyone to wear their favorite tie-dye attire.
