Christi Rae Hammond, 57 of Overland Park, KS passed away November 12, 2015 from a long-term illness. Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO.
Born April 28, 1959 in Kansas City, MO to parents Donald and Shirley Hammond, Christi Rae attended Stephens College for Women and worked many years managing Rockwood Country Club with her mother Shirley.
Christi will most be remembered for her unwavering kindness, sense of humor, and her willingness to help others in need despite the extreme challenges to her health.
She was preceded in death by father Donald and brother Doug Hammond. Christi is survived by her mother Shirley, cousins Mike, Mitch and Jodi Gehrs, beloved dog Largo, and long-time companion Emmett Bussell.
