He passed away April 28, 2026 in Blue Springs, Missouri leaving behind a family who will carry his memory forward with love and pride.
Christopher was a father to Hayden (Randi), Hunter (Keagan), and Jenna (Dominic).
He is survived by his sister Kendra, his four grandsons Gavin, Beau, Grayson, and Wyatt, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Melissa (Young), his mom Sandra, and brother Bill.
He was a man of strong interests and simple joys. A loyal fan of Mizzou and Kansas City Chiefs football, Chris rarely missed a chance to cheer on his teams. He found comfort in the things he loved most—whether that was enjoying a Dr. Pepper, a Coors Light, a good whiskey, or a glass of wine. He had a deep appreciation for music, especially Pink Floyd, and could often be found revisiting his favorite songs.
Chris had a lifelong love for technology and worked in IT, where his curiosity and skill naturally fit. At the same time, he held a cautious view of the world that was uniquely his own. Outside of work, he found peace in the outdoors—hunting, exploring, and simply being in nature. He was also a devoted cat lover, and his pets were an important part of his life.
He will be remembered for his individuality, humor, and the way he lived life on his own terms. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through the stories, memories, and traditions he leaves behind.
