Christopher John Fuchs, 48, Kansas City, MO, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from heart failure. A memorial service will be held at 5:30 pm, Friday, August 17, at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, KCMO. Visitation will precede the service from 4:30-5:30 pm. Chris was born December 6, 1963, in Kansas City, MO, the sixth child of Dick and Tippy Fuchs. He graduated from Bishop Miege High School where he achieved musical excellence in singing with the choir and was also active in sports and drama. He then followed in his father’s footsteps and entered into the insurance world. For the past twelve years, Chris has been a beloved member of the Eagles Gymnastics family in Martin City, MO. Chris enjoyed traveling world-wide with his family, and was also an avid sports enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn “Tippy” Fuchs in 2009, and by his maternal grandmother, Elsie Mae Tipton. Chris is survived by: his father, Richard C. Fuchs; two brothers: Richard C. II (Gail) Fuchs, and Robert (Sophie) Fuchs; three sisters: Kimberly (Kristian) laCour-Madsen, Lise (Kirk) Strobel, Courtney (Robert Swisher) Fuchs; four nephews: Richard III, Cody, Adam, and Jacob; and by three nieces: Haley, Emmy, and Nikki.
