Obituary of Cindy L. Danforth
Cynthia Lynn Danforth, 67, began her eternal future on May 7, 2022. She was born June 25, 1954, to Bill and Joan Danforth of Kansas City, MO. Cindy was also welcomed by her big sister, Debbie, who was 16 months her elder. She started grade school in Wichita, Kansas, before moving to Independence, MO with her family. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1972, then later Penn Valley Community College with her Associates Degree in Dental Assisting. She had a long and successful career as a medical transcriptionist and secretary. She attended Maywood Baptist Church with her family into adulthood, then later joined First Baptist Raytown. She enjoyed many years of singing in the choirs of both church families, as well as teaching children’s Sunday school. Music was one of her favorite pastimes. Cindy also enjoyed counted cross stitch, scrapbooking, crafting, garage and estate sales, reading, writing, and cooking. She cherished many friends, and was an enthusiastic Chiefs and Royals fan. By far her passion and priority was always her family. She was blessed to be raised by godly parents, and was a constant companion and best friend to her big sis. She was treasured by her aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her greatest pride and joy were her kids, Jeremy Hicks and Bobbie Rau, and her precious granddaughter Emalee. She will be greatly missed by them all. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, she has joyfully joined her earthly father, and returned to her heavenly one. A visitation for Cindy will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm followed by a service beginning at 2:00pm with a graveside committal to follow at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133.
