Clara Mary Hagen (Damske) was born January 6, 1947 in Hebron, North Dakota to William Damske and Elizabeth Krenyle. She had several brothers and sisters. Clara graduated from High School in 1966 and moved to Kansas City in 1969.
She met her husband, Bill Hagen, in 1979 and they were married on September 20, 1987. She joined Bill’s family and became a stepmother to his 3 daughters (Sharie Cloyde, Debbie Squires, and Cindy McKinney) and grandmother to Stephanie and Shawn (Cloyde), Keri Anne, Michelle, Lisa, and Jennifer (Stephenson/Squires), and Gregory (McKinney). As years went by, she became a great grandmother to many others.
Clara had a myriad of jobs through the years, but none that she loved more than working at Fleetridge Elementary School, Raytown, Missouri. She worked both before/after school day care and lunch room. She loved the kids and they loved her back! After over 20 years, she retired in 2018.
Besides her love for her husband, she loved her birds! They were the highlight of her life! Clara will be missed by all.
A celebration of life for Clara will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133.
