

Clayton James Hugill, 21, of Kansas City, MO passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015. Funeral service is on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel, 11924 E. 47th St., KCMO with burial in Salem Association Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, April 30th from 6-8 PM at the chapel.
Clayton was born August 26, 1993 in Blue Springs, MO. Growing up, baseball was very important to him; he was born to be a catcher. Those that knew Clayton appreciated his unique personality and his gift of being able to relate to all people. He was a creative and artistic person and found solace in his art and often shared his work with family and friends. He was a reflective person and expressed himself very well through his writings and his poetry. His ability to make people laugh and his sense of humor will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James F. Lalumia; maternal great-grandmother, Gertrude Burgess; paternal grandparents, Floyd and Bernice Hugill; and close friend, Jeremy House. Survivors include his parents, Clayton and Annette (Lalumia) Hugill; sister, Allison Hugill; maternal grandparents, John and Judy Hromek and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
