Cleta Fontelle Stillfield Hilfinger, 90, passed away on February 15, 2014. A committal of ashes will take place at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, Missouri followed by 11:00 a.m. memorial services at Country Club Christian Church, Combs Chapel, 6101 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, Missouri. Reception following services.
Fontelle was born on February 4, 1924 in Mirable, Missouri, raised in Cameron, and moved to Kansas City when she was 19. She worked at Hallmark Cards and then at Calvin Productions, where she met her husband of 67 years, Harry Hilfinger. It was love at first sight for both and they married in 1944. Fontelle was an excellent partner for Harry in his movie camera business, and they raised a house full of daughters. They traveled extensively and enjoyed the company of friends and family for many years.
Fontelle is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Quinn (Michael), Peggy Schwartz (Michael), and Nancy Stalnaker (Stan), and granddaughter Mindi Schwartz, and Fontelle's longtime best friends, Jack Mooney and Cricket and Bill Lutz.
