

Clifford attended the University of Oklahoma where he lettered in basketball and earned a Juris Doctorate in Law. His legal career spanned 56 years specializing in Oil and Gas. Of recent, he helped to establish the First Judicial Legal Assistance Program, helping seniors in need of legal assistance. Clifford was a Korean War Veteran and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He went on to join the Army and was a JAG Officer. He retired as a Colonel in the Army Reserves.
He is survived by his wife if 59 years, Peggy, and three children, Elizabeth Marvin, Julie Stone, and Brett Stone, and his six grandchildren. His sister, Donna Vaughan and her husband Leslie Vaughan also survive him. Contributions may be made to the University of Oklahoma in the name of Clifford O. Stone or the American Cancer Society in the study of Mantle Cell Lymphoma, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
Services are pending in Tulsa, Ok. And he will be laid to rest at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
