

Consuelo Gladys Tinoco, 84, of Kansas City, Missouri, died on July 3, 2010 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, 901 Cesar Chavez Avenida, Kansas City, Missouri. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, where the rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The family requests contributions to the American Diabetes Foundation.
Consuelo was born on December 17, 1925 on Chicago, Illinois to Ignacio and Mary Louise (Suarez) Valencia. She married Pablo Tinoco, and of this union nine children were born. Her family was her life, and she was a great cook and she cooked for all the family events. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1997, two brothers, two sisters, and two grandsons. Her survivors include four sons, Paul, Jr. (Tina), Walter, Mark, all of Kansas City, MO, and Russell (Christy) of Madison, WI; five daughters, Linda McDavitt of Pleasant Hill, MO, Patricia Tinoco, Kansas City, MO, Theresa Vasquez (Louis), Kansas City, KS, Lillian Rangel (Rodolfo), Blue Springs, MO, Constance Garnett (Kent), Kansas City, MO; 2 brothers, 4 sisters, 21 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Connie’s family would like especially thank the wonderful staff of St. Luke’s Hospice for Consuelo’s great care.
