Cora B. Link

A memorial service will be held at Life Christian Center, 1650 E Langsford Rd., Lee’s Summit, Missouri, on Wednesday, May 3rd, at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers a contribution basket will be available to offset burial costs.

Corky was born September 21, 1924 in Nevada, Missouri to Larkin Calloway Howell and Grace Estelle Lents Howell. Corky was the tenth of eleven children. In 1946 Cora married Claude Link. Together they had four children, Claudia, Fred, Jeff and Mark.

Corky was a long time resident of Independence, and most of her family lived nearby, which she loved dearly. She loved learning new things, and socializing with anyone she could, never shying away from making new friends wherever she went.

Corky is survived by daughter Claudia Decker, her two sons Fred Link (Linda), Jeff Link (Sheri); one brother, George Howell; 7 grandchildren, (Sanford, Joely, Johnna, Tiffany, Jon Elliott, Lindsey, and Jamison); 17 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a host of others she considered family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Claude Link, son Mark Link, son-in-law Jim Decker, and great grandson Jake Hillbrand and 9 siblings.
