Craig Dale Chabino, 76, passed away September 23, 2020 of COVID-19. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and his oldest son, Carter Dale Chabino. He leaves Melissa, his wife of 53 years, daughter-in-law Tricia Chabino of Raytown, son Aaron Chabino and wife Heather of Parkville, daughter Sara Lott and husband Robert of Kansas City, MO, five grandsons, one granddaughter, and a large extended family.
Craig grew up in Ruskin Heights, was an Eagle Scout, a graduate of the University of Central Missouri, and an Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam. He worked 30 years in computer operations for Kansas City Southern Railroad and retired at the age of 55. Craig loved reading, averaging three books a week after retirement. He was an excellent cook and baker and mourned the death of Julia Child as if she were a member of the family. His brother-in-law Curtis always said, “If Craig made it, it’s got to be good.”
Craig was very funny, although not as funny as he thought he was. His friends and family will miss his quick laugh and unconventional sense of humor.
