Cynthia Gail Bellamey, 56, of Belton, Mo., passed away peacefully on April 6, 2010, at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. Cynthia was born May 11, 1953, in Kansas City, Kan., to Roy and Anita Draper. She loved intellectual conversation, laughing, gardening, doting on her children, and sharing life with friends and family. Cynthia is cherished for her deep compassion, prevailing generosity, and selfless love. She was preceded in death by father, Roy Draper, nephew, Jimmy Haley, and mother, Anita Douglas. She is survived by husband of 29 years, William Bellamey; her adoring children, Julie Kincaid, Andrea Jeselnik, Tyler Bellamey, and Scott Bellamey; grandchildren, Joshua Kincaid, Blake Zenitsky, Austin Zenitsky, and Brennen Kincaid; stepfather, Larry Douglas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ginny and Jim Haley, Cheryl and Robin Reitmeyer, and Diane and Wade Byers; brothers, Larry "Bud" Douglas and Tom Douglas; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Cindy Watts and Eileen Logan. A celebration of Cynthia's life is planned for 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 9, at the Unity Church of Overland Park, 10300 Antioch. Memorial service 2:30 p.m. Saturday, at the church.
