She went to college in Warrensburg, MO, where she met Roger Pierce. They married and had her first child, Christy, in '73, eventually moving to Monticello, AR, here she had her second child Mandie in '77.
She finished college there getting a BS in accounting. She got a divorce after 12 years and moved back to Kansas City, MO, where she returned to Ruskin Presbyterian church. There, she began getting to know Paul again. They knew each other as their families went to the same church. Eventually the two married on May 24, 1986. Paul and Cindy had a son, Will, in '89. She developed Alzheimer's in 2012.
Cindy taught CPR for the Red Cross while living in Monticello. She retired from Grandview CSD #4 as the "controller" overseeing the business office for the administration. She loved picking gooseberries to make jelly. She would make purple berry homemade ice cream that the whole extended family always asked for. Cindy would record stories to tell the kids to go to sleep with when at class. She also sewed various dresses for different dances including prom. She also sewed costumes for Halloween and even for some of their friends. She could be found singing songs for her kids or rubbing their legs on long car trips.
She enjoyed decorating the house and tree with the kids for Christmas.
Cindy will be missed and always LOVED.
