Cynthia "Cindy" Suzanne Mills

Cynthia Suzanne Mills, 61, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care. Per her request, there will be no service. Cindy was born December 14, 1952, in Tampa, Florida. She moved around the United States several times as a child. She was an avid gymnast and competitive swimmer as a youth. As a young adult, Cindy enjoyed traveling with her mother and dad around the Middle East and Europe. She met her first husband, Ian in Saudi Arabia. They were married in 1974 and had two sons before they divorced in 1980. Cindy remarried in 1984 to John Jennings of Louisburg, KS. Together, John and Cindy owned and operated Jennings/Mills Construction and enjoyed playing golf in their free time. Cindy enjoyed travel and even while ill dreamed of trips she might one day take with her mother. Her love for her animals, include Pepe, Remy and Ginger.

John preceded Cindy in death (1995). Cindy is survived by her two sons, Paul and Brian, who live with their families in Olathe, KS. She is also survived by two brothers, Greg Smith (New Zealand), Doug Smith (Seattle, WA) and her mother Gladys Smith (Kansas City, MO).
