

On the morning of May 12, 2023 Cindy Sue Cooper passed away after a long battle in the hospital. Therefore it is with sadness and joy that the family of Cindy announce her passing, at the age of 62.
Cynthia “Cindy” Sue Walter was born September 5, 1958 in Independence,MO. She was the second child of Vanetta & Tom Walter completing their family. Cindy attended Hickman Mills High School where she played softball and participated and many activities.
After high school Cindy completed a technical program and became a Physical Therapy Assistant. She used these skills all her life.
In 1981 Cynthia and her first love Martin Edmonds married on December 19, 1981 at Peace Lutheran Church in Kansas City.
In 1985 the pair welcomed their Son Erik and in 1991 they welcomed their daughter Macee.
Though the pairing did not last Cindy always put her children first. Always providing everything she could for them and always showing them love.
On September 14, 1997 she married James Ray Cooper of Kansas City. The two would remain together until her passing.
Cynthia is survived by her mother Vanetta Mae Walter, husband James, Son Erik Edmonds of Overland Park, KS, Daughter Macee Caldwell of Independence, MO, Granddaughters Caroline Edmonds and Vivienne Edmonds, and grandsons Whit Edmonds and Chase Caldwell.
Cynthia’s preceded in death by her father, Thomas Walter and brother, Alan Walter.
Services to celebrate the life of Cindy are on Sunday June 4, 2023. Burial and small service at Memorial Cemetery in Cole Camp, MO at 3:00 PM. Followed by a celebration of life at her cousins owned restaurant The German Table in Cole Camp, MO. The German Table will be a potluck, please feel free to bring anything you would like.
Memorial funds will be donated to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health)
