The last of eight children, Cynthia was born on January 2, 1956 in Topeka, Kansas to Pastor Philip Larue Kemp and Marie Fanning. Shortly after Marie's passing, Pastor Kemp remarried and the family (except for her older sister Phyllis Harold) relocated to Kansas City, Missouri in 1966. She attended various schools in Kansas City, Missouri. Her last school attended was Central High School.
Cynthia had a free-spirited, life of the party persona, but always kept God in her life. Her first child, Cherrie Kemp, was born on July 22, 1972; her second, Ramond Kemp, was born on May 15, 1981; and her third, Stacey Kemp, was born on November 24, 1988. She also had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cynthia was employed as a paraprofessional for the Kansas City, Missouri school district transportation department. Her last church home was Victorious Life Church.
Cynthia is survived by her children, sister Juanita Irene Kemp, and a slew of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Cynthia will rest in Heaven with her parents, siblings Lloyd Paul Kemp, Phyllis Marie Harold, Gloria Jean White, Cecelia Faye Agee, Delois Kemp, and Michael Eugene Kemp.
The family would like to thank everyone who has shown love and support for our beloved Cynthia Ann Kemp.
