Daisy Irene Berkstresser, 96, passed away December 19, 2014, at the Kansas City Hospice House following a year long illness. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by 11:00 AM funeral services Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Daisy was born in Versailles, Missouri on May 26, 1918, to Willam and Ora Ann Compton.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hal, daughter Peggy French (Jim) and son Hal Owen. Daisy leaves her son, Jimmy (Nancy) and daughters Ruth Gillespie and Janet Leichliter (Dennis), 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and her "sister," Cornell Franklin (Bob).
