

Dan attended O’Hara High School. He was an Eagle Scout in Troop 283 and was a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He pursued higher education at Iowa State University. Dan was employed by Marion Labs for many years.
Dan had a passion for archery and spent hours practicing. He also made arrows, quivers and custom bows. He often participated with friends at local archery competitions and enjoyed passing on his knowledge to his nephews. Additionally, he loved metal and woodworking, leather work, reading and was an avid fencer for many years. His friends and family will remember his warm smile, his sense of humor, and his unwavering support.
Dan is survived by his mother, Rita Allison; and siblings, John Allison, Kathy Brill (Dan), Robert Allison (Frances), Tom Allison, and James Allison (Laurel); along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, George Allison and brother, Richard Allison.
Services for Dan will be held on June 26, 2024 at McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home, 11924 E. 47th Street, Kansas City, MO 64133. Visitation will begin at 10am and funeral service at 11am with burial immediately following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the American Heart Association.
Dan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
