Dan T. Bolden Jr.

Dan T. Bolden, Jr. was born October 7, 1942 in Jefferson City, Missouri to Dan Bolden, Sr. and Christine (McCully) Bolden.

He graduated from Lincoln High School in Jefferson City, Missouri. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1960 and honorably served his country for six years (four years active and two years reserve). He relocated to Kansas City, Missouri and worked for Hallmark Cards, Inc. for 34 years. He was also a reserve Kansas City, Missouri police officer for 15 years. His parents; son, Bryan Ross Bolden and one sister, Sharon Gordon preceded him in death. Dan married Jean Ross on May 13, 1972, and they were married for 47 years. Two children were born to this union; Brad and Bryan. Dan accepted Christ and was baptized under the leadership of Bishop W. B. Henderson at Trinity Temple COGIC and then later joined Calvary Chapel Church under the leadership of Pastor Harold Molden, Sr. Dan was ordained as a deacon on September 18, 2011. He also participated in the Men’s Choir, the Scholarship Committee and the Security Team. Dan departed this life on July 4, 2019 at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Jean Bolden of Grandview, Missouri; one son, Brad (Shalonda) Bolden of Kansas City, Missouri; one granddaughter, Brittneigh Bolden, of Kansas City, Missouri, one sister, Stephany Smith, of Lenexa, Kansas; three sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
