Dani Lyn Smith, 67, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026. Born on November 7, 1958, she was a cherished daughter, sister, and aunt whose life was defined by unconditional love, gentle innocence, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
She had a childlike warmth that made her truly one of a kind. She loved joking with family and friends, sparking playful debates about who was the "biggest turkey," and affectionately calling people "mutt head." Dani graduated high school in 1979 and never tired of sharing stories of her dear friends Bobby, Charles Borough, and Joyce Pickens — memories she cherished until the very end. Her laughter, her playful spirit, and her boundless love left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Dani was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Shirley Smith; her brothers, Kenneth D. Smith and Larry "Dave" Smith; her sister, Debbie Deweese, and her husband, William "Bill" Deweese; and her nephew, Arnoldo Lara Jr.
She is survived by her brother, Ronald D. Smith (Diana); her sister, Karen Ramos (Gustavo); her sister-in-law, Trish Smith; and a beloved circle of family and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts always.
Dani's beautiful spirit, infectious smile, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
