Danny was born on February 7th, 1939 in Julesburg Colorado to Simon and Isabel (Virrueta) Estrada. He was known to many as “Dan the TV man” because of his tireless work at his TV shop for several decades; often allowing people to pay whatever they could for his work. He was always a friend to all and loved being everyone’s “Uncle Danny” at the many colleges he worked after retirement.
Danny loved Jesus and cherished his grandchildren. Furry animals could always make him smile. His love for singing and playing the guitar was often on display and the life of every family gathering. Danny had a witty sense of humor, was always “on”, never missing a beat. He could not get enough Elvis gospel hymns and could play a mean game of pool up until the very end. Danny touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Sara Pilcher, three brothers Paul Estrada, Louie Estrada & Valentine Estrada and two sisters Carmen Ponce & Rosie Martin.
Danny is survived by his wife Anna, daughters Rita (Joe) Jaurgui & Cheryl Rios, sons Mark (Leann) Saffell & Daniel (Sara) Estrada, Jr. Danny is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, his brothers Marcos (Carmen) Estrada, Jose Estrada, his sisters Patsy (Riley) Sermeno, Hopie Hornelas, as well as his beloved Que Que and Eddie Colón.
A Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 2:00pm followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00pm on Sunday, December 8th at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home at 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
