Danny was one of a kind, he was so intelligent and loved the Lord like no other. I met Danny for the first time as a EMT for MAST Ambulance in Kansas City he was my patient when I first ever met him. Not to long before that I met a girl who was a Kansas City Firefighter who I met on a vehicle accident call and ended up dating her, as it turned out her and Danny were best of friends as I later learned. Danny would give the shirt off his back for anyone, he cared about people, I was blessed to have met him, and blessed to get to know him. I am sad he is now gone, but his work here made a difference in peoples lives and now he is where he always talked about going and now he is there. Rest In Peace Danny thank you for all you brought into my life over the years. See ya soon friend :)

So for years my uncle's vision has been good and then not good and so he said surgeries for that but nonetheless we were going to the grocery store and uncle Danny love to spend time inside of a grocery store more time than any other human that I know on Earth. He was real big into the ingredients and all of that and I remember that I was selecting some deli meat and he's like what's the date on it and I said what and he said what's the date and I said there's no date on here and he goes hand me the package and he flips it over and it's in very small writing but he knew where it was located on the package of meat because he would always look and obviously he knew then that I never looked so it was really funny that the blind man could find a date on something that the full sighted niece could not. 

About 5 years ago uncle Danny and I were going to Kansas to see one of his doctors and I can't follow directions so we ended up about one block away from where we should be but I'd take him out of the car and put him back in and we both got in the vehicle and I'm driving and I see a police officer on a motorcycle and I knew immediately that he was going to pull us over because neither one of us had put our seatbelts back on so I can clearly say that my uncle has been my partner in crime. Lucky for us Kansas was running a special it was one seat belt ticket that's normally 50 bucks we got two tickets and it cost us 50 bucks so such a deal. Jesus answers prayers

Uncle Danny took me under his wing a long time ago. He believed in me when no one else did not even myself. He trusted me when no one would because of my addiction, he taught me so much that I put into action everyday in my life. He helped me when I had no where to go, when I needed a 20 min break from my daughter cuz I was over whelmed he treated me as his own. Uncle danny was my rock and I want to keep making him proud even though he won't be here physically. he will always be my go to.

I was a young girl when he worked for the Christian Radio station but I remember there was a thunderstorm that hit the tower and my uncle Danny was the one who knew where it got hit and so he brought home the mealted plastic and showed me the peace I thought it was the coolest thing ever  love you uncle Danny  from Daviena Layton your niece 🥺
