Danny Mongkhonvilay

Danny will be remembered for his loving heart, strong family bonds, and the many meaningful connections he shared throughout his life.

Danny leaves behind his beloved mother, Noy Mongkhonvilay, his grandmother, Chanthaly Bounmyxavong, and his two sisters, Nancy Monteiro and Anny Mongkhonvilay. He was a devoted and loving uncle to his nieces, Gabriela Monteiro and Nora Nhotharack, and his nephews, Lucas Monteiro and Winston Nhotharack, who brought him great joy.

He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Alex Miguel Monteiro and Tommy Nhotharack, with whom he shared close and meaningful bonds. Danny was especially close to his cousins, Khamsing “Sing” Mongkhonvilay and Jordan Sayavong.

Danny shared a lifelong bond with his childhood friends, John Tran and Robbie Lasky, and he was also close to many more family members and had many friends whose lives he touched with his laughter, kindness, loyalty, and love.

Danny will be profoundly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on January 11, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home & Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Nong “Phon” Sirivongxay, Visith Khamdaraphone, and Julye Sithysane, along with extended family and friends, for their love, support, and help during this difficult time and in preparation for the funeral.
