Darlene Bibee

Darlene Bibee was born December 12th, 1933, in a small back room of her Moher Iva and Father Ollie Blackorby’s home in Novinger, MO. She has three older brothers, Ollie Jr, Isadore, and Emil Blackorby. She married Carroll Dean Bibee in 1951, they were high school sweethearts.

In 1968 they adopted a boy, now Shannon Murdock, and in 1973 adopted a girl, now Jennifer Jones. In 1980 their family moved from a farm in Moulton Udell, IA, to La Plata, MO where they resided for over 20 years.

When Carroll took ill in 2002, they moved to Kansas City to live with their daughter and son in law, Jennifer and Daryl Jones. They lived there until Carroll passed in 2006. They had been married for 50 years.

Darlene then moved into her final home, with her family, until her recent passing, on April 11th, 2023, in her home, under the loving care of her grandchildren Maurice, Brandon, Jatasia, and Samantha.

She is leaving behind her daughter Jennifer Jones, grandchildren Brandon Bibee Burkhardt and Maurice Jones, and great grandkids Levi, Brantley, and Oliver, as well as so many great friends!

A visitation for Darlene will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Consuming Fire Ministries (10306 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64134). The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM followed by a procession to the graveside prayers and committal at Novinger Cemetery (16566 MO-149, Novinger, MO 63559)
