Darwin E. Johnson, 66, of Raytown, MO passed away peacefully on April 17, 2013 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Visitation Friday, April 19th from 6-7pm with service beginning at 7pm at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel. Private placement at Brooking Cemetery on Saturday, April 20th. Darwin was born on June 30, 1946 in St. Joseph, MO to W.O. & Vera Johnson. He was a Vietnam Veteran who was employed with the FAA and USDA. Darwin enjoyed sea shelling, gardening, mushroom hunting & was an accomplished practical joker. He was preceded in death by his father, W.O. and a sister, Janice Atha. Darwin is survived by his mother, Vera; his significant other, Colleen Coble; his children, Shelly Gravatt (Lincoln), Karyn Pace (Michael), David Johnson (Korrie), Phillip Coble (Rena) & Nicole Lobdell (Jeff); his 7 grandchildren; his siblings & his extended family.
