David Andrew Baltis, age 65, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on August 05, 2022. David was born on June 18, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri. David met the love of his life, Mary Kelley Baltis, while they were in high school. They enjoyed a beautiful marriage of 43 years, and were true soul mates.
After graduating from Southwest High School, David attended the Kansas City Art Institute, where he enjoyed expanding his creative talents. David built a successful business as a contractor remodeling older homes. He was a true craftsman with an impressive work ethic and eye for detail.
David was a wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle, godfather and friend. He had a kind heart and selfless personality – always finding a way to do his “good deed for the day.” He loved the arts and music, and was a huge fan of The Beatles. He had a great eye for unique finds, which he restored and restyled with his artistic touch. He was a voracious reader, and loved to laugh at the occasional episode of Judge Judy and Steve Harvey/Family Feud.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell V. Baltis and Donna J. Wells. He is survived by his wife Mary, stepmother Jane Ann, and brothers Russ (George Kahn) and Bo (JoAnne).
David will be remembered for his compassion, keen sense of humor, contagious laugh and radiating smile. In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Wayside Waifs or another charity of your choice.
