

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Lucille Gallagher, sister Donna Housman, daughter Eileen Givan and grandson Evan Givan.
David is survived by his wife Delores, daughters, Janine Day (husband Russell) and Christine Bower (husband Keith). Granddaughters, Andrea DeWees, Kim O’Shaughnessy, and Molly Bower. Grandsons, Andrew Black and Adam Bower. Great-grandchildren, Dominic, Grant, Caroline, Connor and Ella.
After many years of employment, David retired from AT&T. He attended the University Of Central Missouri and graduated with a Business degree.
David was a member of the Masonic Lodge and served as Worshipful Master in the Blue Springs, MO Lodge 337. He was also a member of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution and of the National Society Magna Charta Dames and Barons.
David’s accomplishments included working on his family home and building a cabin in Lincoln, MO. He had many interests and especially enjoyed woodworking and worked extensively on his family’s genealogy.
David was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family.
A visitation will take place Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery (7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64133).
A Graveside will follow at 3:00 PM, Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens (7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64133).
