David W Kartsonis

David was born April 8, 1981 in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1999 and the University of Central Missouri in 2004, after which he joined his family as part of the fourth generation at Superior Linen Supply. Together with his brother Matt they grew the business acquiring Medical Laundry Service and Mr. Mat. David is a Certified Professional Laundry Manager, an Eagle Scout and Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and making them smile.

David met the love of his life, Georgia Velis in 2002 as Counselors at Camp Emmanuel Greek Orthodox Youth Camp in Wyoming. They continued a long distance relationship till June 23, 2007 when they married at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Dallas, Texas. Together they have two beautiful daughters, Maria Georgia, 3 and Andriana Georgia, 1.

He is survived by his wife Georgia, daughters Maria and Andriana, father and mother Bill and Jan of Lake Winnebago, brother Matthew (Sara) of Kansas City, Missouri, father-in-law and mother-in-law Demetri and Andriana Velis of Dallas, TX, brother-in-law Billy (Lauren) Velis of Dallas, Texas, and grandmothers Edith Kartsonis and Darlene Godt of both of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. David was preceded in death by his grandfathers George Kartsonis and Robert Godt.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 13th, from 5:00-8:00 pm, Trisagion at 7:00 pm; Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 14th, at 10:00 am, both at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 12001 Wornall Road, with interment at Cavalry Cemetery.
