My thoughts and prayers to the Scott family. My memery.  Is. I was riding my 10 speed to get to my job cause I had gotton my licnse suspended and he seen me and told me to throw my bike in the back of his truck and he would take me where I needed to go.

I was shocked to hear of David's passing. I read about it in the Raytown paper. I haven't seen David since after high school at Raytown but I thought about him often. My favorite memory is a picture of me and David putting a 396 motor in my 69 SS Chevelle. We used to take my blue 69 and his green 70 Chevelle out and street race on Blue Ridge many years ago. He was a great friend and those were great times. I was recently thinking of getting back in touch with David and swapping stories. Sorry to hear of his passing. Rest in piece my friend.

Nancy, Mike, family and friends, words can't express how sorry I am for your losses this year. Even though they are no longer here with you, they are in a better place with no more pain and suffering. God has a plan for them. Take care and know that you are in everyone's prayers. God bless you.

I grew up with David in our neighborhood, riding bikes and skateboards all the time.  I had not seen him since school.  We had a lot of good times.  My condolences go out to your family.    R.I.P.

I'm so sorry for your loss, my prayers are with you.

I've known Dave for about 25 years, and have many fond memories.  The one that is making me smile now is going to the drag races with him in Topeka, where he insisted taking his silly snake along.  On the drive home, he fell asleep in the backseat, and the snake was moving around in it's bag, and ended up on top of his head, still in it's bag...I wish we had cell phone cameras back then!  

I had many good times with him, and though I haven't seen him in a few years, it's sad to think I've had my last conversation with him.  

Rest in Peace buddy.

Karen (Marks) Nichols

I worked with Dave for years in the in the heavy truck gear work. he learned quick and always wanted to learn more . you showed him one time and he was good to go on anything  I never had any one who would pick up on things so quick. there is no question he was a master in his trade. we have lost one of the best gear men kc ever had.  HE was a true friend to the end we would talk on the phone every night almost . Last time I talked to him was last Thursday night  he sounded real good . Now he gone . David is seared in my memory. I met him in junior high in my first hour class. He loved the Rolling Stones and had a killer Tattoo You notebook. I had to get one. I can still see his contagious, impish grin. All my memories of him are of him smiling and squinting his eyes. I had recently been looking for him, as I had hoped to make more memories with him. I am deeply saddened. I cannot imagine your loss. All my love.

I'm so sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

David and I went to grade school through HS together and lived pretty close together in the neighborhood.  We played on some of the same Raytown Little League teams together, he always had a smile and was joking around, great guy to be around.  One thing I remember about David was he liked to pull his baseball socks up high just like George Brett (as did I), but he made sure his were the best looking!  He was a great left-handed pitcher and a fun teammate.  We lost track of each other after HS, but some people you never forget and I'll always remember David Scott.
