Kelly was born on June 11th, 1948 to parents Rollie Wooldridge and Doris Beem. He attended and graduated from Ruskin High School, and attended college after.
Kelly lived in San Diego California for a time, and went into the Navy in 1967. He received numerous accolades including the Navy Achievements Medal, Good Conduct Awards, and a Gold Star pin. Once out of active duty, Kelly continued to serve his country and completed an honorable 21 years in the Navy overall, becoming a Diesel Engine Inspector.
Upon moving back to Missouri, Kelly moved into other lines of work including Thrifty Drug, Holly AC, and Elkins AC. He met and married the love of his life, Janis Shuey in 1994. The two spent time camping and traveling together, visiting casinos and family along the way. Kelly himself was also fond of fishing, hunting, and wood working.
David is preceded in death by his parents Rollie and Doris, his beloved wife Janis, sister Dixie Stephens, mother-in-law Bethel Shuey, sisters-in-law; Barbara Faris and Marilyn Shuey.
He is survived by a big and extended family. Sister; Cindy Scott, sister-in law Joyce (Pete) Deese, brothers-in-law; Gary Shuey and Larry (Lorri) Shuey, sons; Phil (Michelle) and William Wooldridge, grandchildren; Shannon, Matthew, Jacob, Emilia and Evelyn, nieces; Bethany(James), Brittany(Ben), Kara(Duwayne), and Amy(Kevin) nephews Brian(Susie), Mike(Amy), Matt(Chris), Cory(Sara), Jonathan(Kate), Scott(Kristine), and Kris(Kayla), cousins; Amy Barney, Monte Barney, Pat Jones, Melissa Bush and Janet Park-Diable.
Services will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Kansas City, Missouri on Friday, September 18th. Visitation will begin at 9:00am, with a funeral service following.
