OBITUARY

Deborah Ruth Krawl

September 6, 1944 – November 16, 2025
Obituary of Deborah Ruth Krawl
IN THE CARE OF

Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home & Floral Hills Cemetery

Deborah Ruth Tryon Resch Krawl passed away on 11/16/2025 at Lansing Health and Rehab in Lansing, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Erma Tryon; her brothers, Sam and Pete Tryon; and her sister, Phyllis Tryon Wynn.

Debbie was a graduate of William Chrisman High School. Shortly thereafter, she was a member of the Handel's Messiah Choir in Independence, Missouri. It was there that she met her first husband, Roger K. Resch, also the father of her two sons Paul Andrew and Brian Keith Resch. Debbie was a devoted and dedicated mother and wife.

Early in her life, she ran a daycare service for a number of the neighborhood kids. From there, she got into healthcare working as a CNA and a CMT. After several years in that industry, she went to work for Bendix in Kansas City as a cashier in the cafeteria. She was known for being pleasant and having something of a devious sense of humor, enjoying the occasional practical jokes played on her coworkers. Working at Bendix, later known as Honeywell, she met her second husband, Allen Krawl. Al encouraged her to transfer to Security for Honeywell and as a result, the woman who wouldn't allow her kids to have a BB gun, retired with a service revolver on her hip!

Debbie was a wonderful soul and a special spirit to anyone who was lucky enough to have met and spent any kind of time with her. She had a lovely singing voice and enjoyed playing the piano. She also had a love for all things creative and enjoyed crafting in its many forms throughout her life.

Towards the end of her time, she loved watching game shows with a special devotion to “Family Feud with Steve Harvey,” citing the reason as “everyone always looks so happy.”

Mom has moved on, and we will miss her, but we look forward to the time when we will be reunited. The world shines a little less now that she is no longer a part of it, but she would wish happiness for all and for us all to carry on loving and caring for each other.

So be it!
