Delbert Leroy Jacobs, 82, of Kansas City, MO passed away December 22, 2012. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11am at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO.
Delbert was born May 6, 1930 in Hartley, IA. He was a United States Army Veteran. He worked for numerous railroads, including CNW in Iowa and KCT in Kansas City. Upon retiring, he worked as an engineer at Worlds of Fun on the steam engine for four years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 626 of Gladstone, the VFW Post 10906, and the Shepherd Center of the Northland.
Delbert was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 6 sisters. Survivors include his children, Melody Jacobs, Sandi Siaz, Rick Jacobs, Mark Jacobs and Scott Jacobs; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
