Delora J Turpin

Delora "Toni" June (Neely) Turpin, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026 at the age of 93. She was born in Topeka, Kansas on March 23, 1933. She married WWII Navy veteran Howard "Jack" Turpin on April 8, 1967. They enjoyed almost 60 years together before Jack passed on March 6, 2025.

Toni graduated in the class of 1951 at Raytown High School (where all three of her children are also alumni). She was a longstanding church member of Raytown Baptist, Sterling Acres Baptist, First Baptist Raytown and in later years Norfleet Baptist. She had working careers including Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co., Cake Box Bakery and Dynamic Fastener. She was an avid bird lover. She raised and cared for a cockatiel (Lance) and a conure (Cleo) along with feeding the wild birds and pesky squirrels in her backyard. She collected bird figurines and accumulated a large collection of blue jays in particular.

Toni is survived by her children [Debra Jeanne Eubank, Steven Eugene Eubank and John Wesley Turpin] , and her grandchildren [Susanna Kay Dillinger and Sarah Nicole Edwards]. She has five great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson. Toni rests in eternal peace with her husband, parents and siblings.

A visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133, US, on August 17, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm, followed by a funeral service at the same location from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm.

A committal service will take place at Brooking Cemetery, 10004 E 53rd St, Kansas City, MO 64133, US, on August 17, 2026, from 2:15 pm to 2:45 pm.
