It is true. We are not indestructible. You were always such a rock for everybody who was around you, someone who would tell you the truth, even if you didn't always want to hear it. I guess even a rock wears away eventually. But, you will always be remembered, even when it takes a few months for some media-savvy individuals, like myself, to find out you were gone. And, when a rock washes away, a space remains in the location where it once was. That space will always be filled with the memories of your words and deeds, the legacy of your cold humor and your warm kindness. Joyce and I will miss you. I was trying to look you up, down in Branson, when I saw this. I am sorry for the delay. Now, I need to find some Kleenex.

I'm glad you took life where you wanted to take it. Loved your sarcastic wit and true appreciation for your family - which I heard plenty of when we had a chance to talk at work. I always wish there was more time. The world needs more of your 'John Wayne' approach and unending kindness. You are missed.. . .
Love You Buddy!

My sincere condolences to the family & friends of Denis. This memory is a thank you to Denis for providing the sound track to my life as a teen! I did not know Denis well but heard his band play often during the summers of the late 60's! I remember those times well! The older I become I have such gratitude for a life of joy during those years .... a special thanks for the music! It was a blessed time! Rest in peace and may you play in the land of forever with what constantly pleases you! God bless....
