Dennis Dodd

Dennis was born February 3rd, 1951, in La Junta, Colorado to Lloyd and Linda Dodd. He graduated from Raytown South High School and attended college at MCC Penn Valley and Studied Commercial Architecture at University of Colorado. After college, Dennis started his career in construction, construction management, Project management and estimator. Dennis later started another career as a professional truck driver, finishing for Hixon/Doman.

His personal interests included family, cars, and being socially involved. He devoted much of his time to helping others. His personality was as big as him. He loved talking to and making everyone laugh. He loved his dogs Rascall and Rosie with all his heart.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Linda Dodd; brothers, Michael Dodd and Jeff Dodd; sister, Tammy Posner; son, Dennis Dodd II; nephew, Matthew Dodd and his wife Regina Dodd (Lewis); and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He spent his latest years in the company of family and friends.

Dennis will be lovingly remembered and missed.

A visitation for Dennis will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 1-2 PM, with service at 2 PM, at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO. Burial will follow immediately at Floral Hills Cemetery.
