Dennis Ray Emanuel

Dennis Ray Emanuel, age 73, of Raytown, Missouri passed away May 4, 2023. Visitation will be held 10am - 12pm Thursday, May 11th at Floral Hills Funeral Home at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, Missouri 64133. Graveside prayer and committal to follow at 12pm at Floral Hills Cemetery.

Dennis Emanuel was born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 19, 1950. He lived his entire life in the Kansas City and Raytown areas. He had two children and was a devoted and loving father, son, and friend. His greatest passion in life was racing cars. There was nothing that lit him up more than when the tree lit green and he sped down the quarter mile! He was also often seen grinning while fine tuning car engines with his son. Dennis was whip smart and shared his passion for reading and nature with his daughter. They shared books and visited wildlife and nature areas throughout her childhood. Dennis loved spending time with his parents and children at their family lake house. He would enjoy casting with his father and son in the mornings, swimming and boating with everyone in the afternoons, and then fishing off the dock with his daughter in the evenings. Dennis loved to hunt as well. He would regularly tell stories of his youth hunting with his father, grandfather and uncles. He then taught and regularly took his son hunting.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mary Lou Emanuel. He was survived by his uncle and aunt, Junior and Linda Emanuel, his son, Christopher Emanuel, his daughter, Katherine Lain, his granddaughters, Annabelle and Amelia, as well as his dear friends Abe, Gus, Gary and Lynn. You will be missed! We all love you so much! You made it to the end of the quarter mile!
