Dennis A. Petri

Mr. Dennis A Petri, 76, died peacefully on February 16, 2024. Dennis was born on June 12, 1947, in Portland, Oregon to Earl Allen Petri and Margaret Ruth Petri-Tennis. He graduated from Meredosia High School in Meredosia, Illinois in 1966. Dennis married Christine Cockrum, whom he met in the summer of 1969 at a local swimming hole, in 1970. Shortly after being married, the couple welcomed their only child, Heather Lea, into their home. Heather remembers him as a kind and loving father. Dennis was accomplished at woodworking, gardening, and remodeling. He was a generous, loving, and committed individual who loved gardening, the Kansas City Chiefs, and was passionate about his family.

Dennis was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnnie Petri and Ronnie Petri, and his sisters Peggy Atkinson, Rita Rausch, Fonda McClean, Ruth Hall, and Sarah Johnson.

Dennis is survived by his wife Christine Petri; daughter Heather Brown and her husband Devin Brown; granddaughter Kylea Moore and husband Greg Moore; grandson Logan Tyler and partner Selena Papaconstantinou; granddaughter Grace Brown; great granddaughters Hadley and Ember Moore; and sister Pam Rausch and partner Mark Staton.
