Diana grew up on her third generation family farm in Ulysses, KS. She was a proud farmer’s daughter and continued to take an active interest in her brother and his sons family farming and ranching operation. After graduating from Ulysses High School in 1972, she attended Dodge City Community College. She was a member of the 4H Club. As a young woman she had a successful insurance and investment business with Modern Woodmen of America and GE Financial Services.
After moving to the Kansas City area, Diana sold Lowrey organs and taught classes at Schmitt Music. After retiring, she enjoyed teaching piano and organ students in her home. She also played at the organ for the Home Products Dinner for many years. Diana loved to entertain family and friends in her home for a home cooked meal. She often entertained guests or anyone who had a few minutes to spare by playing music for them.
Diana had a strong Christian faith. In her final years, she spent much of her time calling friends or family to pray for them or encourage them with a funny story. Diana’s entire family recalls the pleasure of family holidays gathered around the organ at the family farm.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Norma Deyoe. Diana is survived by her daughter; Dimitra (Chad) Becker, granddaughters Brooke Becker, and Bailey Becker, siblings; Eddie (Sheila) Deyoe, Dennis (Sheryl) Deyoe, Bev Deyoe (Dennis Ragland), nieces and nephews; Velvet (Randy) Randolph, Nikki (Jack) Siler, Cherry Hale, Dylan Gill, (Ami Burkett) Matt (Lori) Deyoe, Wade (Candace) Deyoe, and many cousins, great nieces and nephews.
